It is better than a spreadsheet and much handier than a notepad. I like assigning values to whatever I want on the fly and writing notes in a way that makes it readable. The more I use Soulver, the more I love it.

This app makes it so easy to calculate, look at history of calculation and superb currency conversion. I highly recommend it for the Mac, because it is so easy to type. While they have a iOS version, I am not sure how practical iOS version is vs to a normal calc in iOS. For sure, the Mac version trumped them all.
Just purchased. Will not open on Macbook Pro running 10.6.8
Use the El Capitan. After installing the program it is executed once. Then the execution is not at all.I can not use at all.
I purchased Soulver for use as a simple calculator, but it has so many conveniences--such as the ability to remap keys and to save calculations--that I find it to be very useful. After purchasing Soulver I encountered an issue that I could not resolve. I emailed the company and received a response 10 minutes later; a few additional emails and the issue was resolved.
I’d love to see a sidebar widget component that works like the main application, something like the “Numi” beta currently has. Keep up the great work, wish had usage stats to tell me just how much time its saved me, guarenteed its in the multiple hour range already after just a few days Thanks again, Happy user
Please add the ability to create variable lists and batch add variables. I’d like to import the whole periodic table, but it would take way too long and bee unorganized.
Been using it for a few years now on my Macs, iPhone & iPad. At this time of writing, all versions are stable and provide. Reason for not giving it 5 starts is, it’s lacking one very basic feature that shouldnt be too hard to implement - tabs, just like in a web browser - why is it so important? because Soulver does not have an option to perform multiple related calculations and get separate totals in the Grand Total, but even if it did, it would have been so much more convenient to have all calculations to a specific project under one umbrella! instead of needing to have multiple files for the same project, and make sure they are named texactly the same with trailing 1, 2, 3 or so, so they are not left behind or overlooked. I really would ove to see that feature added soon, it would really cleanup my workspace and give me some piece of mind.
